Green Up for Our Troops

-   Green Up for Our Troops is the brain child of ACT member Frank Blaskowitz. The project is designed to bring together the important issues of caring for our environment and supporting and honoring our military service men and women.  Key activities have included:

-   Partnering with our local VFW to collect used cell phones to benefit The Wounded Warriors Project which helps veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan with transitional services when they return to the States. In just a few short months, over 500 cell phones were collected and recycled resulting in $539 to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

1. -Partnering with North Fayette Township to establish a Liberty Tree Grove at a new community park. The Liberty Grove will marry the issues of environment and honoring our local military service men and women by planting an historical tree to honor each branch of the military. This project was recently featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette West
